JAM was founded by Jen Wilson in 2002, and delivered DJ, Music Technology, Guitar, Singing, Sound Engineering, Multimedia and Film Making workshops, to isolated and at risk young people across Somerset, Wiltshire, Banes, Bath and Bristol, working for Schools, Colleges, Prisons, Drug Agencies, Youth Clubs, Festivals, local authorities and various Youth Arts and Music Organizations.
We ran Live events, Club nights, Open Mic nights, a female DJ night and an Internet Radio Show for up and coming DJs, VJs, live acts, acoustic musicians, poets and other artists.
Our workshop leaders are professional musicians with extensive experience and numerous contacts in the music business, and our young assistant volunteers are skilled and enthusiastic trainees who mentor young people in a variety of skills. All our employees and volunteers are CRB checked.
