hello
im writing as a ketamine user, trying her hardest to stop
as alot of people on this site and on other sites ive looked at quitting is hard, not just because of our mental state of believing we need it or just wanting it or feeling down and feeling it will perk us up a bit but because its hard to get away from, our friends take it, you have it, deal it
im in alot of dept at the moment as i got too far into it with my 2 good friends ended up selling it to make a bitta money get it free but taking it too far and snorting almost an oz between 3 of us within days..
but now it has began to mess with my body and my mental state ive decided to stop. easier said than done may i add.
enough of me chatting on
what i was writing on here to say is thankyou for everything that everyone has said on this site the information the feeling that your not alone with this and other people have spoke out too. its comforting.
im going into the rehab clinic tomorrow and im pritty scared. but to have read everything thats on here and how other people are strong and getting better with thier stomache pains, and bladder problems im feeling a little better about everything and a kind of feeling that im going to be okay.
thankyou

i Have been snorting k for 3 years straight at my worst a quarter a day ,it has ruined my bladder and some important friendships i have been struggling to quit but i have just made the choice to quit and i mean it this time i just hope my body will get better with all the info on here i am taking elmiron, msm, and codeine to deal with the pain any advice i can give to anyone is to not use at all because it is soo toxic any it WILL cause you major health issues in just a matter of time…
Well done on this site! I think the youth of today need to be educated, in the party scene especially. I was a Ketamine addict for just over a year, not as long as some of the other users i’ve met I know, but my life spiraled out of control on this substance – I was already having problems with Alcohol and Crack Cocaine, and other problems at home & work so to me Ketamine seemed like a ‘safer’ escape for me. It was only when I started loosing my friends & family, shutting myself in my room & getting wrecked on my own that I decided I needed to sort my mental & physical health out.
I managed to do the quitting myself, cold-turkey….I started reading LOTS of books again in those first few months, keeping my mind away from drink & drugs and re-training my brain. I have in the year since I quit achieved so much in my life, I moved out & got my own place, saved lots of money to travel, bought loads more records (hehe, better than blasting it on K!) and have never felt better (my veggie diet helps, do does drinking lots of green tea!) In the first few months of quitting ALL other drugs, I took a large dose of Psilocybin mushrooms, an awesome experience which I felt healed my spiritually, and has had a lasting positive impact on my life.
I no longer look to drugs as a means of ‘getting wasted’ and look toward plant-based entheogens as tools for spiritual guidance – and as nature’s best anti-depressant.
So, come on kids – don’t play around with chemicals & man-made highs which mess up your brain chemistry – keep a clean straight head, or use what nature has provided in an intelligent & responsible manner!
just to let you know some science that is very important..
I have been using natural remedies for a long time and also have a basis in science..
Ketamine Hydrochloride has an alkalising effect on the stomach and therefore body. (Although in itself it is slightly acidic! cant tell you
why but the following I can testify to…)
Whilst i totally agree that Cider Vinegar is an amazing remedy it will actually make K-cramps ALOT worse and further damage the stomach.. it should therefore be used after K has been given up and thet stomach/ body has regained its natural p/h balance to deTox and repair. Other detoxifying methods should be used until then.
sorry to be the bearer, but i think its an important point that you should look at.! details of p/h below. I can testify these points from bitter experience as i have been studying acidity/alkaline in relation to K and have personally corrected my stomach problems caused by K using food and Sodium Bicarb alone.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
Love and light,
Briony

NB: Info!!
The pH of Sodas generally range from 2.5 – 4.0. taken from (“wiki-answers”)
This means Sodium Bicarbonate is Acidic, and hence is the reason for its
getting rid of “K-Cramps”.. as it re- neutralises the stomachs p/h
balance.
(info sourced from : http://www.earthtym.net/ph-intro.htm
“Any substance with a pH below 7.0 is considered acid, becoming more acid
as it approaches 1. Any substance with a pH ABOVE 7.0 is considered
alkaline, becoming more alkaline up to a limit of 14.0 “)
My names Laura, I’m helping to run a K awareness night in cambridge this weekend and suddenly realised we have very little info. We’re going to give out your leaflet this weekend, is there anything else you could send us though?
basically we’re running this night in memory of my friend who died 3 years ago, from a k overdose. He was the first person in the country to be registered as dying from taking K. I’d also really love to put a testimony on here of how dan died. it’s a long and painful story that needs to be told properly for people to understand. Very few people seem to understand that it can actually kill you when mixed with alcohol or just by itself, and your mates “k hole” is actually a very thin line. I thought he was in a k hole when actually he was dead across my lap it took me a good half an hour to convince the rest of the people around me that there was something even wrong, i didnt even believe it until i was told he was dead the next day.
Since being depressed in december last year i have had a problem with K.
its stupid, i am usually active, lively and healthy and i cant believe
what have i done to myself!
the Spiritual section on the website has brought tears to my eyes.
please send me info .. orshould i just contact Bristol Drugs project myself?
i know have made the first step admitting it and stopping.. but i have
“stopped” several times now!.. i just need a little extra help.
